Switch location
The plunger type switch is screwed into the bottom of the gearbox housing on the left side.
Check, removal and installation
1. Before checking the switch, make sure the fuse is intact.
2. Disconnect the connector at the top of the crankcase and check the circuit between the switch terminals.
3. The switch contacts must be closed only when the lever is in neutral position.
4. Otherwise, check the wiring.
5. If the wiring is good, replace the switch.
6. To remove the switch, lift the rear of the vehicle and place it on stands, drain the oil from the gearbox.
7. Locate and disconnect the switch connector on the harness side.
8. Turn out the switch.
9. Clean the crankcase threads and lubricate the threads of the new switch with sealant.
10. Screw in the switch.
11. Tighten the switch and connect the connector.
12. Lower the car, fill in the oil in the checkpoint.
