Removal
1. Remove the center section of the front panel.
2. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it on stands.
3. Disengage the gear shift rod spring.
4. Unscrew the nuts and remove the rod axle bolts from the gearbox and lever side.

5. Disconnect the rod from the bracket on the gearbox, unscrew the nuts and disconnect the rod bracket from the bottom and remove the rod with the bracket.
6. Remove the bracket, take out the gearshift lever, remove the small cover at the base of the lever.
7. If necessary, unscrew the nuts, remove the cover frame, remove the bracket and remove the cover.
8. Check the condition of the parts, especially the axle bushings and the rod joint; replace worn covers.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
2. Lubricate the bushings and the rod axle with grease.
3. Tighten the nuts and bolts to the specified torque.
