This function is designed for more convenient and secure attachment of child restraints.
Note! Some types of child restraints are not designed to be fastened with a conventional seat belt and require the use of special devices. For this reason, it is recommended that you follow the instructions supplied with the child safety seats.
If the design of the child restraint allows the use of a three-point belt as a fastener, then the seat belt must be set to the appropriate mode to install the restraint. To do this, do the following:
1. Install the child restraint on the seat according to the instructions that came with it.
2. Slowly pull out the belt. This will put the belt into stopper attachment mode.
3. Let the strap wind up and remove any slack by pulling on the shoulder strap.
4. Please make sure the child restraint is secure before use.
Note! In the limiter attachment mode, when the belt web is wound up, distinct clicks are heard, and the belt pull-out is completely blocked. If clicks are not heard, then it is necessary to repeat steps 2-4.
To switch the belt to normal mode, you should unfasten the buckle by pressing the red button and let it completely reel into the coil. After that, the clicks stop and the belt is pulled out in the usual way.
Note!
- When installing a child restraint, it is strictly necessary to set the belt to the appropriate mode.
- The use of a belt set in child restraint mode by adult passengers is not recommended, as this will cause discomfort.
- In the event that the belt does not pull out of the spool during normal use, it must be allowed to rewind completely, after which normal operation of the belt should resume.
