To do this, find the required switch in the diagram, disconnect the wires and connect an ohmmeter (tester) to the switch terminals. Move the switch to the "on" and "off" positions and watch the device arrow. On normally closed contacts, the arrow should deflect, and when switching, return to its previous position. On normally open contacts, the opposite picture should be observed.
3. To check multi-contact switches, use the attached diagram (photo). The vertical axis indicates the pin number of the switch connector, and the horizontal axis indicates the switch position. The pins between which there should be a closed circuit are indicated by circles and connected by a solid line. Keep in mind that the position of the light switch has 3 positions - A, B and C. A is the upper position, B is the lower position and C - pull in the direction of the arrow.
