2. The easiest way to check pairs of normally closed or normally open switch contacts (e.g. handbrake signal switch). To do this, find the desired switch according to the diagram, disconnect the wires and connect an ohmmeter to the switch terminals (tester). Move the switch to position "incl." And "off" and follow the arrow of the device. On normally closed contacts, the arrow should deviate, and when switching, return to its previous position. On normally open contacts, the opposite should be observed.
3. To check the multi-contact switches, use the attached diagram (photo). The vertical is the pin number of the switch connector, and the horizontal is the position of the switch. The conclusions between which there must be a closed circuit are indicated by circles and connected by a solid line. Keep in mind that the position of the light switch has 3 positions - A, B and C. A - up position, B - down and C - pull in the direction of the arrow.
6.3 Check table, intermediate positions and wiring of the connectors of the switches of the direction indicator, wiper, headlights and lights and cruise control (on cars 1987-88).
