Removal
1. Depressurize the fuel system and disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Drain the liquid.
3. Remove the air filter, throttle body, disconnect the wires from the spark plugs and remove the distributor cap.
4. Disconnect the recirculation valve.
5. Remove the air conditioning belt and the tensioner roller bracket for this belt (photo).

6. Disconnect the bypass hose and the upper radiator hose from the thermostat.
7. Identify and disconnect the vacuum hoses, wires and cables from the manifold.
8. Disconnect the heater hose at the rear of the manifold.
9. Unscrew the bolts and nuts evenly in the sequence shown and carefully remove the intake manifold.

Installation
10. Clean the manifold, run all threads.
11. Install a new gasket on the manifold (fixed in accordance with the instructions supplied with this part).
12. Without disturbing the position of the gasket, install the manifold and tighten the bolts and nuts. Tighten the bolts and nuts evenly to the specified torque, in the indicated sequence (photo).

13. The remaining operations are performed in reverse order.
