Removing
1. Jack up the front of the car and place it on jack stands. Mark the position of the steering damper reference point on the vehicle chassis (steering damper location on utility models (Van) and Mini truck shown in the accompanying illustration).

2. Give nuts of fastening of a steering damper to the chassis and cross steering draft.
3. Remove the steering damper from the car, being careful not to damage the rubber bushings.
4. Grasp the steering damper at both ends and fully squeeze it several times, then stretching it until it stops. If jerks and jamming points are observed during the course of the damper, it should be replaced.
5. Examine the outside of the damper for evidence of fluid leaks, dents, or other damage. Replace if necessary.
6. Estimate a condition of rubber plugs, in case of need replace them.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order.
1. Follow the alignment of the landing marks of the damper reference points made during the dismantling process.
2. Tighten the fixing nuts firmly.
