In order to reduce the content of three main toxic components in exhaust gases - carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbon compounds and nitrogen oxides (NOX) - cars of these models are equipped with several special systems.
This Chapter is devoted to the analysis of such systems for reducing toxicity of exhaust gases as: crankcase ventilation system, exhaust Gas Recirculation System - 3.0L Engines, mixture quality control system during deceleration, intake air temperature control system and fuel vapor recovery system.
