Removing
Attaching the parallel arms is shown in illustrations. The illustration does not show the stabilizer, which is described in a separate section. All arm fasteners must be tightened with the vehicle wheels on the ground. This means that the rear wheels should be driven onto a flyover or the car should be on a lift platform.
1. Place the rear of the vehicle on stands. Engage first gear or reverse so that the vehicle cannot roll off the supports.
2. Unscrew the rear wheels.
3. Unscrew a nut on the end of a bar of the stabilizer on the corresponding party of the car and remove the elements which are on a bar.
4. Remove the bolt and nut of the transverse arm on the outside of the hub holder and open the connection.
5. On the inside of the transverse arm, remove the body bolt and nut and remove the transverse arm. Since the rear wheel toe is adjusted by the rear transverse arm, the head of the mounting bolt and the adjustment scale should be marked with a punch before loosening the nut and knocking out the bolt.
Installation
Although the bushings in the control arms can be replaced by yourself, this work should still be done in a Nissan workshop, or at least a workshop that has a press. Both bushings are replaced by pressing and pressing.
Installation of transverse levers is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following points:
1. Install the wishbones on the inside, drive in the bolts and install the washers and nuts. Align the bolt heads to the marked marks to establish the previous wheel alignment.
2. Install the transverse levers on the hub holder and secure with the items shown.
3. Install the anti-roll bar in accordance with Section Roll Stabilizer.
4. Lower the car onto the wheels and rock the back a few times.
5. Tighten the wishbones into the supports. The tightening torques for the inner and outer fasteners are the same. Tighten all nuts to 110-130 Nm while holding the bolts. Make sure that the bolts on the inside do not turn.
6. Attach the anti-roll bar. Tighten the nuts with a force of 42-48 Nm.
7. Check up corners of installation of back wheels and adjust, as it is described in the Section Rear wheel alignment. As already mentioned, the rear wheel toe-in can be adjusted using a bolt on the inside of the wishbones.
