Removal
Attention.
- Before starting work, turn off the ignition, disconnect both battery terminals and wait at least three minutes.
- Do not use pneumatic or electric powered tools.
1. Remove the front seat.
2. Remove the seat trim and elastic elements.
3. Loosen the nuts securing the side airbag module.
4. Disconnect the connector and remove the wire clamps under the seat cushion.
5. Remove the side airbag module and/or wiring connector.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Attention.
- Be careful not to damage the wires during the process
- If the airbag malfunction indicator on the instrument panel lights up, it is necessary to erase the malfunction codes from the self-diagnosis system memory using the CONSULT-III device. If the indicator still lights up, perform the self-diagnosis procedure of the system to identify the malfunction.
