Removal
Attention:
- Before servicing the SRS system, turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position, disconnect both battery cables, and wait at least 3 minutes.
- Perform work from behind the front side airbag module.
- Do not use pneumatic or power tools when servicing.
1. Remove the driver and/or passenger seat.
2. Remove the seat back trim and padding.
3. Remove the airbag module wiring clips.
4. Remove the special nuts covered with glue from the front side airbag module and remove the module.
Attention:
- Place the front side airbag module with the pins facing down.
- Do not insert foreign objects (screwdrivers, etc.) into the front side airbag module.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the front side airbag module.
- After unscrewing, do not use old bolts, replace them with new ones.
- If the front side air bag module has been dropped or impacted, replace the front seatback assembly.
- Do not expose the front side airbag module to temperatures above 90°C.
- Do not allow oil, grease, or water to come into contact with the front side airbag module.
- After deploying the front side airbag module, the front seatback assembly must be replaced.

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
