Attention:
Before removing, turn the ignition key to the OFF position, disconnect both cables from the battery and wait at least 3 minutes.
Carry out work while standing at the side of the module.
Removal
1. Remove the glove box, disconnect the wiring connector.
2. Remove the lower section of the instrument panel from the front passenger side.
3. Unscrew the special bolts and nuts and remove the airbag module from the instrument panel.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
Attention:
Make sure there is no gap between the air bag module mating surface and the instrument panel.
Do not pinch the electrical wiring.
Do not reuse special bolts, replace them with new ones.
After installation, check that the system is working properly by observing the airbag indicator light.
If the air bag warning light indicates any abnormality, use the self-diagnosis function or the CONSULTI tester to erase the memory.
If the airbag warning light still indicates a malfunction, diagnose the system. Repair the faulty components.
