Removal
Attention:
- Before servicing the SRS system, turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position, disconnect both battery cables, and wait at least 3 minutes.
- Do not use pneumatic or power tools when servicing.
1. Remove the driver's airbag module.
2. Set the steering wheel to neutral position.
3. Disconnect the connector from the horn switch.

4. Remove the steering wheel. See chapter Steering.
5. Remove the cover from the steering column. See chapter Body.
6. Remove the wiper/washer switch and the headlight/turn signal switch.
7. Loosen the screws Press the top plastic latch and remove the coiled wire.
Attention:
- Do not attempt to disassemble the coiled wire.
- Do not apply lubricant to the coil wire.
8. Disconnect the connector from the horn switch, then disconnect the connector from the coil wire.

Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

Attention:
- Do not use pneumatic or power tools when servicing.
- If the coil wire is not installed correctly, it may break when the steering wheel is turned.
- When the steering gear is disconnected, the wire can also break when the steering wheel is rotated beyond a limited number of turns. The spiral wire can be turned from the extreme right position counterclockwise by 2.5 turns.
- After completing the work, perform self-diagnosis and make sure that no faults are found.
