Removal
Attention:
- Before servicing the SRS system, turn the ignition switch to the "OFF" position, disconnect both battery cables, and wait at least 3 minutes.
- Perform work from the side of the curtain airbag module.
- Do not use pneumatic or power tools when servicing.
1. Remove the ceiling. See chapter Body.
2. Disconnect the connector from the side curtain airbag module.
3. Remove the side curtain airbag module mounting bolts.
4. Remove the module.
Attention:
- Place the curtain airbag module with the label facing up.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the curtain shield side airbag module.
- Do not insert foreign objects (screwdrivers, etc.) into the side curtain airbag module.
- If the curtain shield side air bag module has been dropped or impacted, replace it.
- Do not expose the curtain shield side airbag module to temperatures above 90°C.
- Do not allow oil, grease or water to come into contact with the curtain airbag module.
Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
Attention:
- Perform work from the side of the curtain airbag module.
- Do not use pneumatic or power tools when servicing.
- After replacing the curtain airbag module, perform self-diagnosis and make sure that no faults are found.
