Brake pedal — adjustment (Nissan Qashqai J10)

Adjusting the brake pedal height

1. Disconnect the brake light switch or brake pedal position sensor wire connector.

2. Turn the brake light switch or brake pedal position sensor 45° counterclockwise.

3. Loosen the lock nut (1) of the input rod.



4. Turn the input rod to adjust the brake pedal height to specification, then tighten the lock nut again.

Caution: The threaded part of the input rod (2) must protrude (L) inside the earring (3).

Adjusting the position of the brake light switch or brake pedal position sensor

1. Remove the lower instrument panel trim.

2. Disconnect the wire connector from the brake light switch or brake pedal position sensor.

3. Turn the brake light switch or brake pedal position sensor 45° counterclockwise.

4. Press the switch/sensor (2) until it touches the bracket (1), then turn it 45° clockwise.

Attention.

• The gap (C) between the bracket and the threaded part of the brake light switch or brake pedal position sensor must be within the standard.
• When the brake pedal is released, the brake lights should be off.

Adjusting the brake pedal play

1. Disconnect the brake light switch or brake pedal position sensor wire connector.

2. Turn the brake light switch or brake pedal position sensor 45° counterclockwise.

3. Press the brake light switch or brake pedal position sensor (2) until it touches the bracket (1) and turn 45° clockwise.

Attention.

• The gap (C) between the bracket and the threaded part of the brake light switch or brake pedal position sensor must be within the standard.
• When the brake pedal is released, the brake lights should be off.
