Checking the brake fluid level
Make sure the brake fluid level in the expansion tank is within the specified range (between marks «MAX» And «MIN»).
Visually check that there are no signs of leaks around the expansion tank.
If the brake fluid level is too low (below the mark «MIN»), check the brake system for leaks.
Release the parking brake lever and check that the brake system warning lamp goes out. If not, check the brake system for leaks.
Checking the brake lines
1. Check the brake lines (pipelines and hoses) for cracks, deformation or other damage. Replace any damaged parts with new ones.
2. Check the tightness of the system by depressing the brake pedal all the way while the engine is running.
Attention. If leaks are found, tighten connections or, if necessary, replace damaged parts.
Brake Fluid Replacement
Attention.
- Do not allow triose liquid to come into contact with painted surfaces. If this does happen, remove the brake fluid immediately and flush the area with plenty of water.
- Before changing the brake fluid, switch off the ignition and disconnect the connector of the ABS hydro-electronic control unit or the negative terminal of the battery.
1. Connect vinyl tubing to bleeder port.
2. Press the brake pedal and unscrew the bleeder valve to gradually drain the brake fluid.
3. Make sure that there are no foreign substances in the expansion tank, then fill it with fresh brake fluid.
Attention. Do not reuse drained brake fluid.
4. Turn off the union for prorolling, slowly to press a brake pedal against the stop and to release. Repeat this procedure at intervals of 2-3 seconds until fresh brake fluid begins to pour out, then screw in the bleeder screw while depressing the brake pedal. Repeat this procedure for each tunic.
5. Remove air from the brake system.
Procedure for bleeding the brake system (pumping)
Attention.
- Before carrying out work, disconnect the connectors of the ABS actuator and the electronic control unit or the negative terminal of the battery.
- During pumping, monitor the level of brake fluid in the main brake cylinder.
- Use only fresh brake fluid for filling.
1. Connect vinyl tubing to rear right bleeder port.
2. Press the brake pedal to the stop 4-5 times.
3. With the brake pedal fully depressed, unscrew the bleeder plug to release air, then immediately tighten it.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until no more air comes out.
5. Tighten the bleeder screw to the specified torque.
6. Repeating steps 1 through 5 with the master cylinder expansion tank at least half full, bleed the rear right, front left, rear left, and front right brakes in that order.
7. After carrying out the bleeding procedure, make sure that the brake fluid level is within acceptable limits. If necessary, add brake fluid to the correct level.
