Checking the fasteners
Check the reliability of the fastening of the parts (no looseness, no play), their location and condition (presence of wear and tear, damage).
Checking the axial play of the ball joint pin
1. Place the front wheels in a position corresponding to straight-line movement.
Caution: Do not press the brake pedal.
2. Insert an iron rod or a crowbar between the wishbone and the steering knuckle.
3. Estimate the amount of play by using a rod as a lever to move the suspension arm up and down.
Caution: Be careful not to damage the ball joint boot.
Rack assembly
Check the rack for oil leaks and damage; replace if any defects are found.
