Removal
Disconnect the cable from the hood latch, release the cable from the clamps on the radiator core support and the side clamps.
Remove the bushing from the bulkhead with the engine compartment, pull the cable out of the passenger compartment.
Caution: When pulling out the opener cable, do not damage the cable sheath on the edges of the opening.
Installation
Pass the cable through the hole, maintaining a bending radius of 100 mm or more.
Insert the bushing firmly into the hole in the partition, making sure it does not move.
Apply sealant to the bushing and the contact areas under the bushing on the body.
Secure the cable tightly to the lock.
After installation, check that the hood lock is adjusted correctly and that the hood release handle works properly.
Examination
Ensure that the secondary bonnet latch engages securely with the secondary latch hinge by releasing the bonnet from a height of approximately 200 mm.
Make sure that when you pull the bonnet release handle, the front edge of the bonnet rises by approximately 20 mm. Also make sure that the bonnet release handle returns to its original position.

If the hood release cable is bent or deformed, replace it.
Make sure there is enough grease on the hood latch. If necessary, apply body lubricant to the areas shown in the picture.
