Gap adjustment left and right
Adjustment area: hood hinges.
Close the bonnet slightly and adjust its height so that it is flush with the left and right fenders.
Stand at the front of the vehicle and make sure that the curved edge of the hood and the fenders are at the same level. If necessary, adjust by sliding the bonnet back and forth.
After adjustment, tighten the hood cover mounting nuts to the required torque.
Adjusting the height of the front edge of the hood
Adjustment area: rubber shock absorbers of the hood cover.
Remove the hood latch. Adjust the height by turning the rubber damper so that the hood is 1-1.5 mm lower than the fender.
Open the hood and temporarily lock the hood latch. Enter the lock of a cowl into engagement with a latch. Make sure there is no play in the hood latch and latch. Tighten the lock mounting bolts to the required torque.
Rotating rubber dampers (right and left), ensure that the hood and fenders are at the same level.
Hood lock adjustment
Slide the hood lock left or right until it is centered on the latch loop.
Make sure that the secondary latch engages securely with the secondary latch loop by releasing the hood cover from a height of about 200 mm or applying light pressure with a force of about 3 kg.
Attention: Do not release the hood cover from a height of more than 300 mm.
Move the hood lock up and down and make sure that the latch loop freely engages with the lock when closing the hood cover.
After adjustment, tighten the hood cover mounting nuts to the required torque.
