Racks
1. Lift the lid and secure it with a support.
2. On coupe and 5-door hatchback vehicles, loosen the lock nut, unscrew the hinge pin and remove the hinge.
3. On a 3-door hatchback, remove the two bracket bolts.
4. Press lightly on the stand and, without allowing it to straighten, remove the stand from the lid.
5. Loosen the bolts and remove the rack from the body.
6. Install the rack in reverse order.
Cargo compartment cover
1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Remove the inner cover panel.
3. Disconnect and label all connectors.
4. Pull the connectors and wiring out of the lid, tying them to the cord and removing the through seal. Leave the cord in the lid.
5. Disconnect the hose from the windshield washer nozzle, remove the hose, tying it with a cord.
7. Ask an assistant to hold the lid.
8. Mark the position of the hinges relative to the lid.
9. Remove the stand from the lid.
10. Loosen the bolts and remove the cover.
11. Install the cover in reverse order.
12. pull the wiring and hose through the lid, attaching it to the cord.
13. Do not tighten the hinge bolts.
Adjustment
1. Carefully close the lid and check the gaps between the lid and adjacent panels. The lid is adjusted by moving it in the hinge holes with the bolts loosened. After adjustment, tighten the bolts.
2. Check the operation of the lid lock, adjust if necessary by moving it with the bolts loosened, then tighten them after adjustment.
