The fuel injection system works as follows:
The fuel pump, installed in the fuel tank, delivers fuel from the fuel tank to the fuel rail through a filter installed on the rear wall of the engine compartment.
The pressure in the fuel system is controlled by a pressure regulator, which is mounted on the side of the fuel manifold.
The pressure regulator rises to allow excess fuel to return to the fuel tank when the pressure in the fuel system exceeds the optimum.
Gasoline without tetraethyl lead
The fuel recommended for use is indicated in the technical specifications section (see subsection 6.3.2.1).
For all Nissan Sunny models, it is recommended to use gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 95 (by research method).

All models with a catalytic converter must use only tetraethyl lead-free gasoline.
Do not use gasoline containing tetraethyl lead as this may damage the catalytic converter.
On models without a catalytic converter, both types of fuel can be used.
