Idle speed control valve

Examination
1. Remove the air cleaner cover and filter according to the instructions provided in subsection 6.1.2, to gain access to the valve.
2. The valve can be checked using a thermometer and a hair dryer. Place the thermometer as close to the valve as possible, then gently heat it with a hair dryer. The valve should remain closed at temperatures up to 38°C, begin to open at temperatures between 38°C and 48°C, and open completely at 48°C. Allow the valve to cool and check that it closes completely.
3. If the valve does not open at the specified temperatures or does not close, it must be replaced.
Replacing the Emission Control Valve
1. Remove the air cleaner element according to the instructions provided in subsection 6.1.2.
2. Disconnect the hose from the bottom of the valve, then unscrew the mounting screws and remove it from the air filter housing.
3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
