Back Pressure Valve Components - 1.6L Models (other models are similar)
1. Vacuum tube
2. Fastening nuts
Replacement
1. The backpressure valve is mounted on the left side of the intake manifold. If necessary, remove the air cleaner housing to improve access to the valve.
2. Disconnect both vacuum hoses from the top of the valve.
3. Remove the two mounting bolts and remove the valve from the intake manifold, disconnecting it from the exhaust pipe.
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
