Replacement
1. Remove the right axle shaft.
2. Remove the inner CV joint, bearing and bearing housing.
3. Clamp the axle shaft in a vice and press the mud deflector by hitting the mandrel with a hammer.
4. Pry up and remove the bearing cap from the inward facing side.
5. Remove the bearing retaining ring.
6. Press the bearing assembly with the housing off the axle shaft. If the bearing is to be replaced, it can be carefully knocked out by hammering the mandrel.
7. Remove the bearing retaining ring from the outside.
8. Remove the bearing cap.
9. Press the bearing out of the housing by striking the mandrel, which rests against the outer race.
10. Before assembly, apply grease to the bearing.
11. Press the bearing into the housing until the cover and snap ring can be installed.
12. Place a stop under the inner race and press the axle shaft into the bearing by striking the end through a wooden spacer so that the inner retaining ring can be installed.
13. Carefully press on the mudguards.
14. Install the CV joint.
15. Install the axle shaft.
