- differential boxes;
- differential bearings;
- clutch housing;
- gearbox housing.
1. Press the differential bearing outer race out of the gearbox housing and remove the shims. Use puller ST33290001.
2. Press in the bearing outer race without shims using ST30611000 and ST30621000 drifts.
3. Install the differential into the clutch housing.
4. Connect the clutch housing to the gearbox housing. Tighten the mounting bolts to the torque specified in section «Clutch housings and gearboxes».
5. Install the dial indicator foot on the end of the differential box.
6. Insert the mandrel into the side gear until it stops.
7. Moving the mandrel up and down, determine the difference in the indicator readings.
8. Pick up the adjusting ring. Ring thickness - indicator deflection + required bearing preload.
The preload value and the available thicknesses of the adjusting rings are given in the section «Data for adjustments and control».
9. Install the selected adjusting ring (one or more) and the outer ring of the differential bearing.
10. Check up the moment of resistance to rotation of differential. To do this, install the differential in the clutch housing, connect the clutch and gearbox housings, tightening the bolts to the required torque, and measure the torque with a torque wrench. The modulus of resistance for new bearings is given in section «Data for adjustments and control».
When reinstalling old bearings, the torque may be slightly less.
The change in the moment of resistance per revolution of the differential must not exceed 1 Nm and must not be of a periodic nature.
