Disassembly
1. Remove the final drive driven gear.
2. Remove the speed sensor drive gear by cutting it.
3. Press the differential bearings. Do not interchange the right and left bearings.

4. Knock out the locking pin and remove the satellite axle.
5. Remove the satellites and axle gears. Checking
Gears, washers, satellite axle and differential case. Check the condition of the contact surfaces of the differential case, half-axle gears and satellites. Check the degree of wear of the thrust washers.
Bearings. Make sure that the bearings rotate freely and without any extraneous noise, and are free of cracks, pitting, and visible wear.
Assembly
1. Install the axle gears with thrust washers into the differential case.
For more information, see the website www.nissanbook.ru
2. Install the satellites with thrust washers.
3. Insert the satellite axle. Be careful not to damage the thrust washers.

4. Measure the clearance between the axle gears and the differential box with thrust washers. To do this, insert a special mandrel into the axle gear and use a dial indicator to determine the gear stroke by moving it up and down. The clearance should be 0.1-0.2 mm. Measurements must be taken for each axle gear.
If the clearance is not within the specified limits, adjust it by selecting thrust washers of the required thickness. Available washer thicknesses are listed in the section "Data for adjustments and control".
5. Press in the pin that secures the pinion shaft. The pin should be flush with the differential case.
6. Install the driven gear of the main transmission. Before tightening the bolts securing the driven gear, apply sealant to their threads.

7. Install the speed sensor pinion gear and retaining ring.
8. Press on the differential bearings.
