Circuit breakers
Before replacing a blown fuse, be sure to find out the cause of the blown fuse.
Use only fuses of the specified rating.
If the car is not used for a long time, remove the fuse protecting the clock circuit.
Fusible links
A melted insert can be identified by visual inspection. If in doubt, use a tester or test lamp.
WARNING:
- If the fusible link is melted, a short circuit in high-current circuits is not ruled out. Find and eliminate the cause.
- Never wrap fusible links with plastic tape.
- Important: do not allow inserts to come into contact with wires, connectors and other plastic and rubber parts.
Automatic breakers
Circuit breakers are used in power windows, power door locks, and sunroof actuator circuits.
Example: if the current is 30 A, the circuit will open after 8 to 20 seconds.
