The front brakes have an automatic wear compensation device for the friction linings.
The braking system is dual-circuit, acting diagonally. One circuit acts on the left front wheel and the right rear wheel, the other - vice versa. Thanks to this, in case of damage to one circuit (for example, due to leaks) the second one provides braking.
The pressure in both circuits is provided by the master brake cylinder when the brake pedal is pressed. A special valve maintains the appropriate pressure in the circuits so that the wheels do not lock during sudden braking.
Disc brakes have so-called floating caliper calipers. In this case, only one piston is used to press both brake pads. The parking brake acts on the rear wheels via cables. Disc brake pads are automatically adjusted, so brake adjustment is only required after a repair that involved disassembling the brake system. The car models are equipped with an anti-lock braking system (ABS).
