7.2 Checking the tread with a depth gauge
Regularly remove stones or sharp objects stuck in the tread. Periodically remove the wheels and clean the outer and inner surfaces of the disc from dirt. If in doubt about the consequences of any damage found, consult a tire repair shop. Rearrange the wheels at the specified intervals (see below).

1. Lateral tread wear
Causes:
- insufficient tire pressure (bilateral tread wear)
- incorrect camber of the front wheels (one-sided tread wear)
- cornering at high speed
- long ride without changing wheels
Remedy:
- check pressure and restore to normal
- repair or replace suspension parts
- drive at a moderate speed
- rearrange the wheels
2. Lateral angular wear
Causes:
- Incorrect wheel alignment
Remedy:
- Adjust toe
3. Tire center wear
Causes:
- high tire pressure long driving without changing wheels
Remedy:
- check the pressure and restore to normal rearrange the wheels
4. Uneven wear
Causes:
- violation of the camber of the wheels or the angle of the longitudinal inclination of the axis of rotation
- abnormal operation of the front suspension
- wheel imbalance
- ovality of the brake drum
- long ride without changing wheels
Remedy:
- Repair or replace suspension parts
- Balance the wheels
- Turn or replace the drum
- Rearrange the wheels
