Nissan Patrol and Ford Maverick series cars (Nissan Patrol Y60)

This Guide presents the Japanese-made Nissan CQ Patrol and Ford DA Maverick vehicles, first introduced to the market in 1988. The series is represented by the short-base Hardtop and Station Wagon models (Station Wagon) with a long base. The Patrol series is also represented by the Mini-truck (Cab chassis).



The Patrol RX was launched in November 1993 and was equipped between the DX and ST.

In terms of equipment, the Patrol series is represented by Hardtop XL and ST models and Station wagon DX, ST and Ti with a 3.0 liter engine. The mini-truck is released in only one version.





The Maverick is available in Hardtop, XL, XLT, XL Wagon and Standard trim levels.

All models except the Patrol 3.0L series are equipped with a 4.2L petrol engine with contact ignition and vacuum clutch booster. Patrol 3.0L models are equipped with electronic ignition and a standard clutch without booster.



A 5-speed manual transmission (MT) or a 4-speed automatic transmission (AT) are connected to a 2-speed transfer case. The rear wheels are driven by a conventional differential, a limited-slip differential, or a locking differential. The leading front axle is equipped with a conventional differential and free-spinning hubs.



All Hardtop and Station Wagon models are equipped with coil spring suspension, while Mini Trucks have leaf spring suspension. Some models are equipped with an adjustable rear anti-roll bar to increase suspension travel. Power steering is standard on this class of vehicles.

The brake system equipped with a vacuum booster uses ventilated disc brakes on the front wheels and disc or drum brakes on the rear wheels.
