Nissan Micra K12 Cars — Abstract (Nissan Micra K12)

In 2002, a new model (K12) of the compact Nissan Micra was introduced in 3- and 5-door hatchback body versions. The main distinguishing elements of the Nissan Micra's exterior design are the arched body shapes. In 2005, the Micra model was updated, which affected the shape of the bumpers, interior, and sound insulation.

Nissan Micra is available with petrol engines of various power (from 65 to 88 hp) and volume (from 1.0 to 1.4 l), which allows you to choose a car in both an economical and a sports version. The engine is located in the front of the car, transversely, the drive wheels are front. To transmit torque to the drive shafts, either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission is used.

Rubber mounts are installed between the subframe and the body, damping vibrations of the chassis. The fully independent front suspension consists of MacPherson struts, transverse arms and an anti-roll bar. The rear suspension includes a cross beam, as well as separately installed shock absorbers and coil springs.

The brakes are equipped with a vacuum booster. The front wheel brakes are disc brakes, the rear wheel brakes are drum brakes. Some models are equipped with ABS.

Nissan Micra comes standard with driver and front passenger airbags. Side airbags are also installed at head level.

The steering is rack and pinion with electric power assistance.
