Table of contents: Examination ↓ Determination of Y size ↓
Examination
1. Install the pushers.
2. Install the camshaft
3. Install the camshaft covers.
Note: Tightening torque: 11 Nm.
4. Place the valves of the corresponding cylinder in the "end of exhaust - beginning of intake" position and check the clearance (X).

Note: The size (U) depends on the thickness of the pusher (there are 25 size groups.)
5. Compare the obtained measurement results with the established values, then replace the tappets whose clearance does not comply with the standard.
Note.
Clearance on a cold engine:
- Inlet: 0.125-0.25 mm.
- Issue: 0.325-0.45 mm.
6. Remove the camshaft covers.
7. Remove the camshaft.
8. Remove the tappets whose clearance does not comply with the standard.
Determination of Y size
Note: The camshaft must be removed to replace the tappets once the correct size (U) has been determined.
1. Install the following assembly using the stand (KV113B0050 (Mot. 25201)) and a clock indicator, then calibrate the indicator.

2. Raise the indicator probe (without changing the position of the holder), then insert it into the tappet that needs to be measured. Record the value (U) and repeat the measurements for the remaining tappets whose clearance does not meet the standard. Select tappets for replacement from 25 existing size groups.
