Checking the engine assembly (Nissan Qashqai J10)

Perform the procedure to check for leaks of lubricants, operating fluids or exhaust gases:

• Before starting the engine, check the levels of all operating fluids (motor oil, coolant, etc.). If necessary, bring fluid levels back to normal.
• Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position (without starting the engine). Pressure will begin to build up in the fuel lines, check for fuel leaks in the connections.
• Start the engine, increase the engine speed, check again for fuel leaks in the connections.
• With the engine running, check for extraneous noise and vibration.
• Warm up the engine thoroughly and check for leaks of fuel, engine oil or other operating fluids.
• Remove air from hydraulic systems.
• After the engine has cooled down, check the operating fluid levels again. If necessary, top up the fluids to the required level.
