Attention.
- Each time the gearbox is removed from the vehicle, the concentric release cylinder must be replaced with a new one. Move the concentric release cylinder of the clutch to its original position to remove the gearbox from the vehicle. Dust on the working surfaces of the clutch disc can damage the seals of the release cylinder, which in turn will lead to leaks of the working fluid of the clutch hydraulic drive.
- Do not disassemble the concentric release cylinder.
- Do not allow brake fluid to come into contact with the vehicle's paintwork. If this happens, remove the brake fluid from the surface immediately and rinse the area with plenty of water.
Removal
1. Remove the gearbox assembly from the vehicle (see chapter "Transmission").
2. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the concentric release cylinder from the clutch housing.
Installation
1. Install the concentric release cylinder onto the clutch housing and tighten the mounting bolts to the specified tightening torque.
Attention.
- Never reuse a concentric release cylinder.
- For M9R engine versions: Do not reuse the concentric release cylinder mounting bolts.
- Do not apply pressure to the removed concentric release cylinder, as this may cause the piston or retainers to fall out.
