Clutch working disc
1. Measure the clearance of the clutch disc on the splines of the primary shaft. If the obtained value exceeds the established norm (see "Service data and specification" at the end of the chapter), replace the clutch disc with a new one.

2. Measure the axial runout of the clutch disc at the diameter specified in the specifications. If the obtained value exceeds the established norm (see "Service bottoms and specification" at the end of the chapter), replace the clutch disc with a new one.
3. Measure the depth "A" of the rivets relative to the working surface of the disc using a caliper depth gauge. If the obtained value exceeds the permissible wear value (see "Service data and specification" at the end of the chapter), replace the clutch disc with a new one.

Clutch pressure plate
On the clutch pressure plate installed on the vehicle, check the height of the diaphragm spring petals protrusion. If the height of the petals protrusion or the difference between the petals in the height of protrusion exceeds the established norm (see "Service data and specification" at the end of the chapter), adjust the height of the petals using a special device (ST20050240).

Check the thrust ring of the clutch pressure plate for wear or damage. If defects are found, replace the clutch pressure plate with a new one.
Note.
- A worn thrust ring makes a beating sound (like a hammer hitting a rivet).
- A broken thrust ring produces a clicking sound due to the shaking of the clutch pressure plate.
- If traces of burning or discoloration of the contact surface of the clutch pressure plate are detected, it is necessary to treat the surface with sandpaper. If the surface is damaged or deformed, replace the clutch pressure plate assembly with a new one.
