Removing
Attention.
- Do not allow brake fluid to come into contact with the vehicle's paintwork. If this occurs, immediately remove the brake fluid from the surface and flush the area with plenty of water.
- Do not disassemble the clutch master cylinder.
1. Remove the air filter housing and intake duct.
2. Remove the hood top panel.
3. Using a syringe, remove the hydraulic fluid from the expansion tank, then disconnect the hose.
4. Remove the clutch master cylinder rod tip from the pedal.
5. Remove the locking pin (1) from master cylinder connector (2) and disconnect the clutch line (3).
6. Turn clutch master cylinder assembly clockwise 45°and remove from vehicle.
Installation
Attention. Do not allow brake fluid to come into contact with the vehicle's paintwork. If this occurs, immediately remove the brake fluid from the surface and flush the area with plenty of water.
1. Insert the clutch master cylinder assembly into the mounting hole, tilting it 45°first. Turn the master cylinder counterclockwise and lock so that the fitting is pointing up.
2. Install the master cylinder rod end to the clutch pedal assembly.
3. Connect hose to expansion tank and clutch master cylinder.
Attention. Install the hose so that the color marks on it are directed upwards.
4. Insert the clutch pipe (1) into the clutch master cylinder (2) all the way.
5. Install locking pin (3) into the clutch master cylinder connector until it stops.
6. Fill fresh brake fluid into the expansion tank of the hydraulic clutch.
7. Bleed the hydraulic clutch. After bleeding the hydraulic drive system, check the clutch pedal.
8. Install the hood top panel.
9. Install the air filter housing with the intake duct.
