Removal and installation
1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Remove the steering column linings (see subsection 13.26).
3. Disconnect the connector from the ignition switch, remove the headless screw at the back of the switch and remove the switch.

4. To remove the ignition switch lock assembly, drill out the two shear screws (indicated by arrows) and remove both halves of the lock from the column. The blocking lock has a non-dismountable design.
5. Assembly is carried out in reverse order.
6. Install new screws and tighten until heads break off.
