Steering Gear Covers — Replacement (Nissan Sunny B13)

1. Disconnect the steering rod.

2. Loosen the steering rod lock nut.

3. Mark the position of the cover edge on the rack and release the spring rings, remove the cover.

4. Thoroughly clean the rack and mechanism housing from dirt and grease.

5. Lubricate the inner hinge with grease from the old boot (if the case has no signs of damage).

6. Place the new cover on, align the edge with the mark on the rail and secure with a new spring ring.

7. Tighten the lock nut.

8. Attach the steering rod.
