Removal
1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it on stands.
2. Remove the wheel.
3. On vehicles with rear disc brakes, remove the disc and caliper without disconnecting the hose.
4. On vehicles with rear drum brakes, remove the shoes and disconnect the pipe from the cylinder.
5. Loosen the rod nut on the hub body and remove the washer.
6. Loosen the axle nuts of the levers on the hub body.
7. Unscrew the strut nuts and remove the hub housing.
Examination
Check the condition of the housing; if cracks or damage are found, replace it together with the bearing.
Installation
1. Place the rod onto the hub body.
2. Install new strut nuts and tighten to specified torque.
3. Attach the levers and screw on the axle nuts.
4. Place the washer on and screw on the new rod nut.
5. On vehicles with rear drum brakes, install the shoes and connect the pipe.
6. Remove air from the hydraulic drive.
7. On vehicles with rear disc brakes, install the disc and caliper.
8. Install the wheel and lower the vehicle.
9. Roll the car forward and backward, rock it up and down.
10. Tighten the nuts to the specified torque.
11. Check the rear wheel alignment.
