Models "Phase I"
The air intake control valve is installed under the intake manifold.
Before removing it, disconnect the negative battery cable.
Removal
1. For better access, set the handbrake on the vehicle, then raise the front of the vehicle and support it on jack stands. The valve can then be accessed from above and below.
2. Disconnect the valve connection connector, then release the mounting clamps and disconnect the vacuum hoses and coolant hoses. Quickly plug the coolant hose openings to prevent fuel leakage.
3. Loosen and remove the mounting bolts, then remove the valve from the intake manifold.
Installation
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Models "Phase II"
The air intake control valve is installed on the left side of the intake manifold, just below the air intake control unit when the engine is idling.
Before removing it, disconnect the negative battery cable.

Removal
1. Remove the upper section of the intake manifold following the instructions in paragraphs 20–25 of subsection 6.3.2.13.
2.Loosen the retaining clamps and disconnect both vacuum hoses from the valve.
3. Loosen and remove the mounting bolts, then remove the valve from the intake manifold.
Installation
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
