Models "Phase I"
The air intake control valve is located under the intake manifold.
Disconnect the negative battery cable before removing it.
Removing
1. To improve access, apply the handbrake to the vehicle, then raise the front of the vehicle and support it on stands. The valve can then be accessed from above and below.
2. Disconnect the valve connector, then release the mounting clamps and disconnect the vacuum hoses and hoses of the cooling system. Quickly plug the holes in the cooling system hoses to prevent fuel leakage.
3. Loosen and remove the mounting bolts, then remove the valve from the intake manifold.
Installation
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Models "Phase II"
The air intake control valve is located on the left side of the intake manifold, just below the air control unit when the engine is idling.
Disconnect the negative battery cable before removing it.

Removing
1. Remove the upper section of the intake manifold following the instructions in pp. 20–25 of subsection 6.3.2.13.
2.Release the clamps and disconnect both vacuum hoses from the valve.
3. Loosen and remove the mounting bolts, then remove the valve from the intake manifold.
Installation
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
