Caution: If you believe your injector is faulty, try cleaning it with an appropriate injector cleaner such as Holts Redex Injector Treatment.
Models "Phase I"
Look subsection 6.3.2.11.1.
Do not forget that additional gaskets are installed between the injectors and the mounting plates.
Models "Phase II"
Removal
1. Remove the upper section of the intake manifold following the instructions in paragraphs 20–25 of subsection 6.3.2.13.
2. Disconnect the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator.
3. Release the pressure from the fuel system following the instructions insubsection 6.3.2.6. Then, release the mounting clips and disconnect the fuel supply hose and return line hose on the left side of the fuel manifold (indicated by arrows (models with 1.6 liter engine)).
4. Release the retaining clips and disconnect the connection connectors from the four injectors.
5. Loosen and remove the fuel rail mounting bolts, then carefully remove the fuel rail and injectors from the intake manifold and remove it from the engine compartment.
6. Remove the gaskets installed between the fuel rail and the intake manifold and remove the injector seals from the intake manifold.
7. Remove the two mounting screws and remove the mounting plate and gasket, remembering how it was installed, from the corresponding injector.
8. Press out the injector and remove the sealing rings. Remove the remaining injectors in the same way.
9. Discard seals and o-rings; when installing, you must use new ones.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. When installing, pay attention to the following points.
2. Before installing the injectors, install new sealing rings on the injectors (indicated by arrows).
3. Lubricate the O-rings with engine oil to facilitate installation, then install the injectors onto the fuel rail. Check that the gaskets are properly installed, then install the mounting plates and tighten the mounting screws.
4. Install new injector seals to the intake manifold and install gaskets between the fuel rail and intake manifold. Install the fuel rail to the intake manifold and install the mounting bolts.
5. In a diagonal order, starting from the middle, tighten the mounting bolts to the specified torque of Stage 1. Then, again in the same order, tighten the bolts to the specified torque of Stage 2.
6. Install the upper section of the intake manifold following the instructions in subsection 6.3.2.13.
7. Check that all hoses are connected correctly and secure them with clamps if necessary.
8. Adjust the accelerator cable according to the instructions in subsection 6.3.2.3.

9. Once installation is complete, start the engine and check for fuel leaks.
