Adjusting the kick-down cable
1. Throttle cam; 2. Bracket; 3. Cable sheath; 4. Retainer; 5. Cable retainer housing
Adjustment
1. Check the throttle cable adjustment.
2. Press the locking spring and move the cable housing as far as it will go towards the bracket.
3. Release the lock.
4. Place a mark on the cable.
5. Measure the kick-down cable travel distance (L) by placing a ruler on the cable near the mark and quickly moving the throttle cam so that the throttle is fully open. The L mark travel distance should be 40–42 mm.

6. If necessary, adjust the cable by pressing the lock, moving the sheath and repeating the necessary steps.
7. Ensure that the cable travel is within normal limits.
Removal and installation
It is performed in a car service center, as it requires disassembling the transmission.
