Check engine fluid levels according to the maintenance schedule (engine oil, coolant and brake fluids), as well as the windshield washer fluid level (see Chapter Vehicle settings and routine maintenance).
Once in the vehicle, perform the following operations:
- Close and lock all doors;
- Adjust the seat position (see section Supplemental Restraint System (SRS)) and rear view mirrors;
- Make sure that the external lighting fixtures are working properly;
- Check the operation of the devices;
- When turning on the ignition, check the serviceability of the K/L located in the instrument cluster;
- Fasten your seat belt and remind your passengers to do the same;
- Release the parking brake and check that the corresponding K/L goes out.
