Removal
1. Turn on the engine with the wiper switch and then turn it off (auto stop).
2. Open the hood, remove the caps from the wiper arms, unscrew the fastening nuts.
3. Lift the wiper arms and remove them from the vehicle.
Installation
1 Clean the wiper arm mounting area on the axle as shown in the figure. This will eliminate the possibility of play in the wiper arm.
2. Before installing the wiper arms, turn on the engine with the wiper switch and then turn it off (auto-stop).
3. Place the wiper arm onto the axle, paying attention to the blind spline.
4. Lift the brush, then place it on the glass surface and adjust the center of the brush to the gap "L1" and "L2" just before tightening the nut/
Note: The picture shows a left-hand drive model; the arrangement on the right-hand drive model is symmetrically opposite.
5. Wet the glass with washing liquid. Turn on the motor with the wiper switch and then turn it off.
6. Make sure that the wiper blades stop within the gap "L1" and "L2".
Tighten the wiper arm nuts to the specified torque.
Windscreen wiper arm nuts: Tightening torque: 23.5 N·m (2.4 kg·m)
7. Place the caps on the wiper arms.
