General instructions for repairing steering (Nissan Almera N15)

Before disassembling, thoroughly clean the outer surfaces of the parts.

Disassembly must be carried out in a clean room. It is necessary to completely exclude the ingress of dirt and foreign particles into the steering mechanism.

Use a nylon cloth or paper towels to clean the parts. Regular cloth may leave fibers that will interfere with the normal operation of the mechanism.

Before inspection or assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in a non-flammable solvent.

Before assembly, apply ATF to all hydraulic system parts. O-rings and seals can be lubricated with technical petroleum jelly. Do not use consistent lubricants.

Replace all gaskets, seals and O-rings with new ones. Avoid damaging them during assembly.
