Models with airbag
Before removing the steering wheel, remove the airbag module and spiral cable (see chapter "Security system").
When installing the steering wheel, it is necessary to properly align the spiral cable.

To do this, set the wheels to the straight-ahead position and check whether the cable is in neutral. The neutral position corresponds to a rotation of 2.5 turns from the extreme right position. Align the installation marks (
CAUTION: If not installed correctly, the coil cable may be pinched when turning the steering wheel.
In addition, the cable may be pinched when turning the steering wheel more than the design allows (for example, when removing the steering gear or lower joint)Normally, the cable can be rotated from the neutral position by 2.5 turns to the right and left.

To remove the steering wheel, use a special puller (see section "Special tools and devices").
