Removal and installation the steering column (Nissan Almera N15)

When installing the steering column, first tighten all the lower bracket mounting bolts with finger force; then tighten them to the required torque. Do not apply excessive force to the steering column.

The lower hinge mounting bolt must rest against the steering shaft recess.



The slot in the lower hinge must be aligned with the protrusion on the coupling. Insert the hinge until surface A stops against surface B.

WARNING: After installation, check the smoothness of the steering wheel rotation. The number of turns from the neutral position to the stop at the right and left stops should be the same. Make sure that the steering wheel is in the neutral position when driving straight ahead.
