Note. Adjustment of AT brake bands is not a standard service procedure and is not normally required under normal conditions. The occurrence of such a need indicates the wear of the transmission.
The adjusting screw is located at the top of the left side of the transmission behind the rotation converter dome. To gain access to the propeller, it may be necessary to remove the cross member and lower the transmission slightly.
1. Jack up the front of the car and place it on jack stands.
2. Loosen the adjusting screw locknut a few turns, being careful not to move the screw.
3. Tighten the adjusting screw to 4÷6 Nm.
4. Loosen the screw exactly two and a half turns.
5. Lock the screw firmly and tighten the locknut securely.
6. Lower the vehicle to the ground and test drive it to check that the transmission is functioning properly.
