Attention.
- Any drive belt that has been removed from the engine must be replaced with a new one.
- Each time the seat belt is replaced, the automatic tensioner must be replaced with a new one.
- Do not start the engine without the accessory drive belt, as the crankshaft pulley may be damaged in the event of an accident.
Removal
1. Remove the engine protective pan.
2. Remove the right front wheel.
3. Remove the right side splash guard.
4. Remove the drive belt.
5. Remove the automatic tensioner.
Installation
1. Install the automatic tensioner, aligning the protrusion with the groove, and tighten the mounting bolt to a torque of 40.0 Nm.
2. Install the drive belt.
3. Release the automatic tensioner to create tension on the drive belt.
4. Turn the crankshaft pulley clockwise a few turns to equalize the tension between all pulleys.
