Attention.
- Make sure the drive belt is correctly installed in the pulley grooves.
- Check for oil or coolant on the drive belt and pulleys.
- Use a brush to remove any dirt from the grooves of the pulleys.
- Some drive belts have five guide wedges, while the A/C compressor pulley, power steering pump pulley and alternator pulley have six grooves. In this case, it is necessary to check that the inner groove of the pulleys (ABOUT) remained free.
2. Release the auto-tensioner and tension the drive belt.
3. Turn the crankshaft pulley clockwise several times to equalize the belt tension between the pulleys.
