- Battery ground cable.

2. Remove the right side splash guard.
3. Remove the engine cover.
4. Remove the accessory drive belt.
5. Remove the right engine thrust rod.
6. Remove the right engine mount.
7. Remove the right engine support bracket, right engine mount and expansion tank.
8. Remove the upper timing cover.

9. Remove the hanging mounting bracket (1).
10. Remove the lower timing belt cover.
11. Remove the threaded cutter from the opening to determine TDC.
12. Turn the crankshaft clockwise until the hole (A) of the camshaft toothed pulley is aligned with the hole (B) in the cylinder head.
13. Insert the top dead center setting pin (KV113B0110 (Mot.1430)) (A) into the camshaft pulley and cylinder head hole.
14. Screw in the top dead center check pin (special device).
15. Turn the engine crankshaft clockwise (gas distribution mechanism drive side) until the crankshaft touches the top dead center pin (special device).
16. The pin (KV113B0110 (Mot.1430)) (A) must match the holes in the camshaft pulley and cylinder head.
17. Remove the crankshaft position sensor.

18. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the crankshaft position sensor location to lock the crankshaft, then loosen the pulley bolt (1).
19. Remove the crankshaft pulley.
Caution: Do not unscrew the mounting bolt completely, just loosen the bolt slightly to prevent the pulley from falling off.
20. Loosen the tensioner bolt (1) to release tension and remove the timing belt.
